How Much Does a Rhinoplasty Cost In India?

rhinoplasty cost in india

Rhinoplasty, commonly referred to as “nose surgery,” is a type of plastic surgery used to alter the cartilage or bone to change the appearance of the nose. People seek a nose job when their nose is deformed or has an irregular shape. The cost of rhinoplasty in India depends on the adjustments that need to be made to achieve the ideal shape.

This article will go over what rhinoplasty surgery is, its benefits and risks, and the different kinds available.

What’s Rhinoplasty Surgery?

During a rhinoplasty, a patient’s nose is surgically altered and modified to meet their demands. Both the look of the nose and respiratory issues can be improved with this surgery. Rhinoplasty is sometimes referred to as “nose surgery” or “a nose job.”

Going for rhinoplasty is an important decision. So, you shouldn’t skimp on the quality of the services provided. Sometimes, paying a little extra is worth it if the surgery is done by a professional. Ayu Health was founded to build a network of hospitals that patients could rely on for superior results, price transparency, and a first-rate patient experience.

Although rhinoplasty has numerous advantages, there are some hazards that you should be aware of before having the treatment. Just like with other surgical procedures, the cost of rhinoplasty in India varies depending on the different procedures.

Benefits of Rhinoplasty

In addition to improving the nose’s look and functionality, rhinoplasty can boost confidence and eliminate years of self-consciousness (if you were uncomfortable with the look of your nose, to begin with).

Rhinoplasty enhances the harmony and balance between other facial characteristics, decreases the nasal tip and the bridge, helps make the nostrils larger or smaller, improves breathing, and corrects issues caused by a deviated septum.

Risk of Rhinoplasty

No matter how significant or small, there may be some side effects of rhinoplasty. However, a talented cosmetic surgeon makes every effort to keep risks to a minimum during rhinoplasty surgery. It’s essential to follow all post-operative instructions after a rhinoplasty since any deviations might impact the healing process and the results.

Side effects of rhinoplasty may include anesthesia-related complications, septal perforation, improper healing or obvious scarring, bleeding, infection, numbness/pain, difficulty breathing, discoloration of the skin, swelling, and complications requiring secondary rhinoplasty surgery.

Different Types of Rhinoplasty

There are two different forms of rhinoplasty depending on the incisions used: open and closed rhinoplasty.

In an open rhinoplasty, the surgeon makes incisions inside the nostrils, below the bridge, and along the sides of the nasal fins to raise the skin and apply the required alterations fully. However, with closed rhinoplasty, the surgeon just makes two incisions in the inner part of the nostrils and does not elevate the nasal skin.

In India, rhinoplasty procedures start at a minimum cost of INR 15,000, however, more intensive rhinoplasty procedures typically cost between INR 85,000 – INR 2,00,000.

However, a few variables may affect its cost, such as the type of operation that will be conducted, admission charge, surgeon’s fee, patient’s age, health status, any potential postoperative complications, hospital type, admission room that you choose, any further lab or examination tests, such as X-rays, ECGs, etc.

When the aforementioned criteria are taken into account, rhinoplasty costs between USD 210 – USD 2,806 in India, compared to USD 5,350 in the US for a similar procedure.

Recovery Period

The type of rhinoplasty done will significantly impact the healing process, although both open and closed operations may expect a one-two-week recovery period. The majority of patients recover quickly, within five to six days. You can take the splint off your nose and go out in public if you’d like after five to six days. Most of the time, there is little to no bruising when the splint is removed. You won’t have any obvious traces of surgery.

While the initial phase of recovery is typically swift, the subsequent one to three years of healing may be necessary. Because the skin isn’t being sliced as it is in a face-lift or tummy tuck, the healing process takes longer than most people anticipate. It can take one year for the bridge and three years for the tip of the skin to contract to the new, underlying structure.

While the side effects of rhinoplasty may have a reputation, the discomfort is not as bad as some people believe. Patients are often in a very comfortable state with little discomfort following the treatment, even if there is typically a sizable amount of swelling and bruising, and the pain they do suffer is typically very well controlled with prescribed drugs.

After having a rhinoplasty, patients can leave the hospital in a week. However, it takes at least two to three weeks for them to fully recuperate after surgery, and even then, they must adhere to all of the doctor’s directions.
