It is recommended:
- To check the Platelet Count in the case of conditions showing low Platelet Counts such as dengue fever
- In the case of conditions and symptoms of bleeding disorders such as easy bruising and prolonged bleeding
- To detect bone marrow disease
- As a part of the routine complete blood count
The Platelet Count test is prescribed by your doctor after a complete assessment of your conditions.
You will get the reports within 6 hours after the collection of the blood sample.
This test requires a blood sample, which can be collected at a diagnostic lab or at home with a home blood collection kit.
Fasting is not required for this test.
