About Dr. Manish Pai

He started his medical journey from medical school Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in Bangalore, from where he did his MBBS. He did his MBBS from 1996 to 2002. After this, Dr. Manish further completed his residency in General Surgery (M.S.) from Government Stanley Medical College and Hospital from 2005 to 2008. Dr. Manish has received a lot of critical acclaim in his career; he has been a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh MRCS(Ed) since February 2008. After completing his residency in general surgery, he also developed an interest in neurosurgery. Dr. Manish practiced neurosurgery (Mch) residency from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute For Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST), Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. He completed this degree from 2009 to 2011. During this time, he was under the mentorship of chairman Dr. Suresh Nair. Once he became a lead neurosurgeon, he pursued a fellowship in skull base neurosurgery from the same university, SCTIMST. His mentors were industry-acclaimed doctors during this fellowship, such as Dr. Suresh Nair and Dr. Mathew Abraham. Dr. Manish has completed a fellowship in minimally invasive endoscopic skull base neurosurgery in 2015. During this time, he was under the mentorship of Dr. Theodore Schwartz. During his fellowship, Dr. Manish developed a keen interest in pediatric neurosurgery. Since neurosurgery was already his preferred domain, he did a fellowship in pediatric neurosurgery under the mentorship of Dr. Michael Handler from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, Aurora, Denver, Colorado, USA. He completed this fellowship in 2019. He also had a fellowship from 2019 to 2020 in stereotactic and functional neurosurgery. He completed this fellowship from UCH, University of Colorado, USA. During this period, his mentor was Dr. Steven Ojemann. Dr. Manish is an enthusiast in neurosurgery, as you may have figured that out by the sheer number of education and training programs he has attended in his life. He did a fellowship in spine surgery under Dr. Jal McClendon jr. From mayo clinic Phoenix, Arizona USA. He did this recently in 2021.
