ERCP

This is a non-surgical procedure performed by a cardiologist to open up narrowed valves. As part of the procedure, a special catheter with a balloon at the tip is positioned in such a way that the balloon tip is inside the narrowed valve. The balloon is inflated and deflated repeatedly to widen the valve opening post which the balloon is deflated and removed. The procedure takes around an hour but the patient might have to stay in the hospital for a day.

Endoscopy

An endoscopy is a medical procedure used to look inside the body. The endoscopy procedure uses an endoscope to examine the interior of a hollow organ or cavity of the body. Unlike many other medical imaging techniques, endoscopes are inserted directly into the organ.

Colonoscopy

A colonoscopy is a procedure that lets your health care provider check the inside of your entire colon (large intestine). The procedure is done using a long, flexible tube called a colonoscope. The tube has a light and a tiny camera on one end. It is put in your rectum and moved into your colon.
